Open for Business, folks(y)

The RagnBones Folksy shop is now open! 

It is still very much a work in progress and I will be adding new listings over the next week or so.  I am also represented on Gumtree and will be making similar advances on the ebay community.  However, as I said before the process involved is long and tedious and I have a short attention span for long and tedious projects, so give it time.
This blog will also be undergoing a revamp so don't be surprised if posts, comments and pictures go walk about!

Back to Business

I spent most of yesterday creating my own Folksy shop.  There's nothing there at the moment, we're not quite open for business yet, but I'll hopefully have some listings later in the day.
I'm very quickly bored by the admin necessary for an online presence.  I think I need to employ a business manager.  I couldn't afford to actually pay said person but my undying appreciation and a variety of baked goods would be payment enough.  Surely?!

I much prefer the artsy-fartsy side of things, like taking the photos and writing the accompanying sales blurb.  And making the stock itself, of course!  Amid the Folksy and PayPal registration processes yesterday, I managed to spare some time to take pretty pictures. 

After this little sojourn into the artsy-fartsy realm of the business, I can feel my creative senses recovering from the boring back room admin.  Fully restored in time to tackle ebay today.  Sigh...

Twit Twoo-dn't you like a bag like this?

This was made for a customer's granddaughter as a birthday present.

The spec was for a blue bag that could be taken shopping.  I didn't want to make it look too utilitarian so added a front pocket with an owl decoration.  The pocket is lined with the check material used for owl detail.

The bag itself is lined with the khaki green material used for the owl's wings.  A blue pocket and key fob completes the detail on the inside.
